Notice of “Under Advisement” Rulings

When the 219th Judicial District Court takes a ruling under advisement, the Court will release a docket entry or a detailed Memorandum of Ruling, generally later in the day or the next day.

Under old practices, the ruling would be faxed to your offices.

Under the new case management system, the ruling will be retrievable online. You can access the case file online through the county website at www.co.collin.tx.us.  Look for “Case Lookup and Court Schedules”. (Select ‘All Civil and Family Courts’ from the drop down menu)

The direct link to civil and family law cases is http://cijspub.co.collin.tx.us. (Select ‘All Civil and Family Courts’ from the drop down menu)

If the ruling is a simple docket entry, the entry will be viewable when you locate the online docket sheet. If the ruling is contained within a lengthy ‘Memorandum of Ruling’, it will be attached to the docket sheet and retrievable by a link. The link will be located in two places, the top of the page and next to the docket event entry. The attachment will be accessible online for 30 days.

If not announced in open court, it is our goal to have the rulings posted within 1˝ days from the end of your trial. This time frame, however, may increase if the Court has a heavy trial schedule following your trial. Please be patient and check the website periodically. Please refrain from calling the clerk or coordinator unless at least 5 working days have passed since your trial.
